Well I guess you can call it "cute". Well first of all these creature are carnivores, which I think makes them less cute ,considering it can possibly eat your flesh!!!!. "sea parrot". They live in coastal areas as shown in the picture. Well, we can see that they live in coastal areas of Quebec, Greenland, Iceland, Europe and small parts of Africa. So basically in the areas of the Atlantic oc
ean. Atlantic Puffins live most of their lives at sea, but return to land to form breeding colonies during the spring and summer. In addition to that statement ,they are excellent swimmers. They can go depths of 61 meters and can stay under water for 20-30 seconds. During their underwater journey, they hunt small fish such as the herring or sand eels. The one thing that surprised me was that they are fleet flyers. They can flap their wings 400 times per minute and can reach 55 miles (88 km) in an hour. Wow!!. During the spring and summer, the females lay a single egg and the parents take turns incubating it. The breeding and hatching usually take place in Iceland .As Iceland is the breeding home of 60% of the world's Atlantic Puffins. Every year Puffin couples reunite at the same burrow, but it is unclear of how the birds reunite to their own grounds. Do they use visual reference points, smells, sounds, Earth's magnetic fields, the stars? We don't know yet , but what do you think?
